The Flagtex Guyana Flag is a small national flag measuring 18 x 12 inches (approximately 45 x 30 cm). Known as the Golden Arrowhead, a green field with a red triangle edged in black set within a longer gold triangle edged in white, both pointing to the fly. Green is agriculture and forests, gold mineral wealth, red zeal, black endurance and white the country's rivers. It is a popular choice for Guyanese Independence Day on 26 May, Mashramani on 23 February, West Indies cricket matches, Guyanese community events in the UK, Caribbean carnivals and school displays of world flags. The flag is made from durable polyester and printed in vivid colours, and it is finished with metal eyelets along the hoist edge so it can be hung from a pole, wall, fence, tent or gazebo, or simply waved by hand at matches and parades. At this compact size it suits places where a full-size flag would be too large, such as a bedroom, bar, office, classroom, boat, caravan, market stall or garden. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it is lightweight and easy to fold, packs flat for travel and storage, and can be put up or taken down in seconds. The flag is supplied on its own and does not include a pole. To keep the colours bright, hand wash in cool water, hang to dry and avoid tumble drying or ironing directly over the print.
