Adafruit DC & Stepper Motor Bonnet for Raspberry Pi The add-on for your Raspberry Pi is ideal for your next robot project. Up to 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors can be controlled. The bonnet will be fully assembled and delivered tested. It can be plugged into your Raspberry Pi and used immediately - no soldering required! Suitable for all Raspberry Pi models with 2x20-pin header. Since the Raspberry Pi does not have many PWM outputs, the board offers its own PWM driver chip to control both the direction of rotation of the motor and its speed. The driver is controlled via the I2C interface, which means that only two SDA & SCL pins are required to control several motors. The I2C address can also be set via 5 address-select pins and thus enables the use of up to 32 stackable HATs, ie the control of up to 64 stepper motors or 128 DC motors. Further product features: 4 H-bridges: 1.2 A per bridge, voltage range: 4.5 - 13.5 V Up to 4 DC motors with individual 8-bit speed settings - results in a resolution of approx. 0.5%.
