- Wide Applications: Can process through or shallow blind holes. Suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium alloy, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, copper, zinc, alloy steel, hard plastics. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality threads and more durable taps.
- M35 & Ti-Coated Tap: M35 high speed steel (5% cobalt), with high red hardness (retains its hardness even at high working temperature), wear resistance and heat resistance. Titanium coating increases hardness, improves lubricity and reduces friction, resulting in longer tool life, better chip evacuation and improved thread quality.
- Tips: Machine tap works with tapping machines, drilling machines, automatic or milling machines, CNC. Recommended feed speed: ordinary steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel material: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping.
