Drill the pilot holes through both leaves to the required depth and diameter. Drill the holes 10mm longer than the tie and to achieve a minimum 70mm embedment in the inner leaf. 2). Insert the rod driver installation tool tool into an SDS rotary hammer drill. All small remedial wall tie kits are sold with a 2 Piece Installation Tool, which comprises a rod-driver and a recessing tool. 3). Insert the remedial wall tie into the rod-driver and drive as far as it will go. When the drill is removed, the tie will be projecting approx 10mm from the face of brickwork.
