When concreting, care should be taken to ensure that, with a H-post support, the upper flap is concreted in to a minimum depth of 3 cm.During installation, ensure that the posts are not seated directly on the post support plate, but are mounted at a distance of about 1 cm from it. This ensures that the timber is adequately ventilated and no damp spots arise. To achieve this, it is possible to place a wooden shim approximately 1 cm thick under the post during assembly. After screwing the post into the support, the shim can be removed.
