- NO-DRILL SUPPORT FOR BIRD WIRE - The components included within this kit are used to support bird wire systems when drilling is not a viable option. Pads can be used with an adhesive to surfaces such as aluminium capping or screws for timber surfaces. They are a quick and convenient solution for installing bird wire in sensitive areas and are widely used within the professional pest control industry.
- POST & PAD INSTALLATION - For pigeon prevention on a standard ledge, we recommend a height of 90mm for the front leading edge and 130mm for additional intermediary rows; when possible a minimum of 2 rows should be installed. Pads can be installed using screws or with a suitable flexible adhesive such as Soudal Fix All Crystal. Spacing between sections should be no more than 1.5m, and the system should be installed with a spring under light tension only.
- IMPORTANT PAD INFORMATION - Fixings are not included within this kit. Post and pad installations are specifically designed for light perching of pigeons only and should not be used in areas where pigeons are active overnight. If using adhesive, the installers must best prepare the attachment area; we recommend using a surface cleaner to remove any grease or oils on the application area.
- WHAT IS A POST & WIRE SYSTEM - Commonly known as bird wire, this discreet prevention method stops pigeons from landing on building ledges, parapets, ridges, and fencing. A wire is installed 90mm to 130mm above the ground between 2 support posts. A spring allows for tension and flexibility, and crimps hold the entire system together. Bird wire is only suitable for perching sites and should not be used for roosting or nesting.
