Product Description The E501 left-handed metric coarse machine tap is available in a range of sizes from M3 to M24, with most sizes available in three different options which give greater accuracy to the thread when used in sequence. The taps produce a left handed thread in the hole, so opposite to normal. The taps are of a spiral flute design so they can be used for both through and blind holes. Manufactured to conform to the International Standardization Organization, E501 taps are very versatile, being suitable for a wide range of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steel. They are manufactured from High Speed steel with good performance and tool life, with a bright finish to ensure clean, accurate threads as it prevents work piece material from sticking to the edge of the tool.
