The E041 machine tap from Dormer produces British Standard Pipe fastening – G series threads and has a steam tempered finish to prevent work piece material from sticking to the cutting edges, so ensuring a more accurate, cleaner finish to the threads. It is manufactured to a Dormer standard based on the International Standardization Organisation. Powder metal High Speed cobalt is used in the manufacture to provide a superior performance and longer tool life, whilst the spiral point design makes the E041 great for threading blind holes (which stop part way through the work piece) and will give you great results in many different materials including steels and stainless steel.
