Product description The Chambers and Co natural shampoo for dogs is suitable for all dogs including dogs with sensitive or itchy skin. The main cleaning agents (surfactants) we use are derived from coconuts and are mild and non-irritating to skin. They have excellent cleaning properties and work equally well with hard and soft water. The water in this shampoo is a chamomile and calendula infusion to help with itchy skin any minor cuts or rashes. We have added Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) which is a strengthening and conditioning vitamin, excellent for both hair and skin. Most shampoos use salt (sodium chloride) as a thickener but for sensitive skin we prefer to use natural, edible gums. All our ingredients are cosmetic grade. Peppermint and lavender essential oils are great for dogs and have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties and a lovely fresh scent. When choosing products with essential oils, be selective as some essential oils may be unsafe for our dogs such as birch, camphor and tea tree. Essential oil scents make bath time a more enjoyable experience for you and your dog! We do not add other oils as that is just a marketing gimmick. The surfactants in a shampoo dissolve the tiny amount of oils that could be used and the foaming and cleaning action of a shampoo are diminished. Our shampoo is not a medicine.
