  • Features: TMC2209 is an extremely quiet motor driver IC for two-phase stepper motors. Its continuous drive current is 2A and the peak current is 2.8A. Compared to TMC2208, the driver current of this IC is not only improved by 0.6 to 0.8A, but this IC also increases the function of blocked engine test.
  • Wiring Tips: TMC2209 outputs continuous motor current up to 1.4A and peak current up to 2A. Therefore, the reference voltage of the driver module should not exceed 1V. At the same time, the driver module must be dismantled, otherwise the service life of the driver module will be affected.
  • Advantages: this ultra-quiet driver has a large area cooling pad, it can lower the temperature when the drive is working. The driver supports STEP/DIR and UART mode and engine lock test. It can reduce the risk of step loss and prevent the engine from shaking.
  • Setting: Please pay special attention to the instructions. Do not connect the motor when measuring the voltage, otherwise the driver can be burned easily. When measuring the voltage, the power supply should be connected, not only connect the USB power supply.
