The Studio Spiral Bound Sketchbook is Artway's spiral (wiro) bound range, and the square format is where a lot of our most creative customers start. The black hardback cover has a greyboard core wrapped in Wibalin cloth to resist warping, and is bound with a 1" silver wiro that opens completely flat and gives the pad room to expand as you build up mixed media — with pages that tear out cleanly along the perforation when a piece is ready to frame, submit or file. Inside, 170gsm cartridge paper — heavier than most spiral pads on the market — gives you enough weight and tooth for pencil, charcoal, pastel, pen & ink and marker, and takes light watercolour washes too — for heavier wet-media work, our watercolour pads are the better fit. The paper is genuinely acid-free, so it won't yellow with age.
