Growcery Rounded Fine Grade LECA is a lightweight expanded clay aggregate graded to approximately 2–4 mm. The small particles have a rounded form with natural variation, making them suitable for planting applications where standard large clay pebbles may be too coarse. Use as a decorative top dressing, a fine drainage layer or an amendment to help improve structure in bonsai, terrarium, houseplant, cactus and succulent growing media. The porous particles help create air spaces within suitable mixes and allow excess water to move more freely through the root zone. The fine grade may also be used for propagation and selected semi-hydro or hydroponic applications where a smaller growing medium is appropriate. LECA does not provide significant plant nutrition, so plants should receive water and nutrients according to the requirements of the chosen growing method. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before use. Some dust is normal due to handling and transportation. Particle size, colour and shape are approximate and may vary naturally. The clay aggregate may be cleaned and reused where appropriate.
