Seed Revolution - Bloom or Bust Shady Meadow Wildflower Mix, 20g

- BUILT FOR THE SHADY CORNERS OTHER MIXES IGNORE: Bloom or Bust blends 15 native UK wildflower species chosen specifically for shade tolerance, so the borders beside fences, hedges, walls and light tree cover finally fill with colour instead of sitting bare all summer. It grows happily in partial shade with moderate watering, needing no full sun to thrive, and combines quick flowering annuals with longer lasting perennials for a display that keeps developing as the season goes on.
- RIP, SCATTER, WILD: our seeds follow one simple rule. Clear the ground of weeds and debris, rake it lightly, scatter the seed evenly, press it into the soil and let nature do the rest. No digging beds, no bedding plants, no greenhouse and no gardening qualification required, so it works just as well for a first time grower as it does for someone filling their tenth shady corner with native colour. Avoid feeding the soil, since rich ground favours grass and weeds over wildflowers.
- A GENEROUS 20G PACKET, ONE FULL SEASON OF COLOUR: this pack contains 20g of pure seed with no soil filler and no grass seed added, so every gram sown is a wildflower. Sow from March to May or August to October directly onto prepared soil in a shady bed, border or verge, and expect flowering annuals in year one alongside perennials that settle in and return more strongly from year two onwards. Water lightly during germination, then rely mainly on rainfall once established.
- A HOME FOR BEES, BUTTERFLIES AND HOVERFLIES: the mix includes Birdsfoot Trefoil, Chicory, Cornflower, Field Poppy, Meadowsweet, Red Campion, Red Clover, Sainfoin and more, giving pollinators a long, staggered season of nectar rather than one short burst. It also grows well in a large pot, trough or raised bed if open ground is limited, so a shady balcony or patio can support wildlife too. Leaving some flower heads to set seed lets the display self sow for next year too.
- A BRAND BUILT AROUND ONE MISSION: every packet of Bloom or Bust you scatter puts 15 native species back into a shady corner that would otherwise sit empty of colour and wildlife. If you follow our sowing instructions and it still does not grow, we will put it right with a refund or a replacement packet, no awkward questions asked. Seed Revolution grows native UK wildflower seed to Spread The Wild, one shady border at a time.
Product description
Bloom Or Bust is a Native Shady Meadow Wild flower Seed Mix created for gardens that do not get full sun. At Seed Revolution, we believe no space should be written off, and this mix is our answer for shadier corners that still deserve colour, life and pollinators. It is made to succeed where sunlight is limited, helping you protect something, save something and grow something that matters. This mix includes Birdsfoot Trefoil, Borage, Chicory, Cornflower, Field Poppy, Hedge Bedstraw, Meadowsweet, Red Campion, Red Clover, Ribwort Plantain, Sainfoin, Salad Burnet, Self-Heal, Vetch and Yellow Trefoil. For a simple and economical method, scatter seeds directly onto cleared, lightly raked bare soil, rake again for seed contact and water gently. For better results in weedy areas, use a terram membrane topped with calcareous soil before sowing. Plant in spring from March to May or autumn from September to October. Choose a shady or partially shaded, well-drained location. Keep soil moist during early growth, then rely on natural rainfall, watering occasionally during prolonged dry periods. Blooms appear from May to August, with plant heights ranging from 20 cm to 1 metre. Bloom Or Bust is a stand for overlooked spaces, a refuge for pollinators, and a quiet rebellion against lifeless gardens.
