- CLASSIC DWARF FRENCH BEAN VARIETY: ‘Top Crop’ is a much-loved, reliable compact bean variety producing slim, straight pods with a tender, stringless texture and superb flavour. Perfect for beginner and experienced growers alike.
- HIGH-YIELDING & QUICK TO MATURE: Plants grow to around 50cm tall and are known for their excellent productivity. Expect generous harvests of bright green pods throughout the summer months.
- EXCELLENT FLAVOUR & COOKING USES: The meaty, smooth pods (approx. 14–15cm long) are delicious steamed, stir-fried, sautéed, or added fresh to salads. A superb freezer variety to enjoy all year round. Ideal for gardens, raised beds, patios, and containers. No need for staking or support — these are self-supporting bush-type plants. SEEDS: 45 Approx.
- GROWING GUIDE: Sow from April to July directly where they are to grow, once the soil has warmed to around 10°C. Plant seeds 2cm deep, spacing them 15cm apart in rows 45cm apart. Keep soil moist during germination and as pods develop. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. Harvest from June to October when pods are smooth, firm and brightly coloured — regular picking encourages more beans to form. Avoid watering foliage to reduce risk of mildew.
