About this item
- AUTHENTIC ITALIAN HERITAGE VARIETY: Zucca Butternut Rugosa is an old, traditional Italian squash known for its wrinkled skin, firm texture and rich, sweet orange pulp—ideal for authentic Mediterranean cooking.
- LARGE, SWEET, HIGH-YIELD FRUITS: Produces generous cylindrical butternuts that store extremely well, offering excellent winter-keeping qualities for soups, roasting, risotto and baking.
- VERSATILE KITCHEN FAVOURITE: Perfect for risotto, soups, lasagne, roasting, mashing or even desserts. The seeds can also be dried and eaten as a nutritious snack. SEEDS: 20 Approx.
- SOWING & HARVEST: Sow Zucca Butternut Rugosa seeds outdoors from March to June in warm soil, spacing well and keeping moist as the plants establish. This heritage variety thrives in sunny, sheltered positions and produces large, sweet orange-fleshed fruits that store well for winter use. Harvest from September to November once the skin toughens and the colour deepens.
- SEED QUALITY: Produced by a historic Italian seed house with over 240 years of excellence. Seeds are packed in protective, recyclable packets to preserve freshness and germination quality – bringing authentic Italian growing to your garden.

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
