Light: Hydrangeas prefer partial shade. They require some sunlight to bloom, but excessive direct sunlight can cause the flowers to fade and the leaves to wilt. Fertilization: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and midsummer to promote healthy growth and abundant flowering. Pruning: Prune hydrangeas after flowering to remove dead or damaged branches and shape the plant.
