• NASTURTIUM ALASKA MIX SEEDS: Ever popular annual for easy ground cover, beds, borders and containers. The cool variegated, 'marbled' leaves accentuate the flowers.
• SOW: February to June, FLOWERS: June to October, HEIGHT: 30cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 25 Approx.
• FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - April to June. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed in flowering position. HOW - Sow 2 seeds together, with 20cm between pairs. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil and keep moist. CARE - Thin to one strong seedling per position. FLOWERS – June to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
• FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - February to March. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with 1.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. CARE - When large enough transplant singly to small pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 20cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free. FLOWERS – June to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering.
