- ECHINACEA WHITE SWAN SEEDS: Tall sturdy stems topped with large flowers of reflexed petals surrounding prominent cones. Long flowering plants, ideal for perennial borders and cut flower displays.
- An excellent performer in garden trials.
- SOW: February to July, FLOWERS: June to September, HEIGHT: 90cm, SPREAD: 45cm, SEEDS: 50 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - February to July. WHERE – In trays of moist compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20℃. Seedlings appear 14-28 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position. FLOWERS – July to September, the following year.
- FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - May to July. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. When large enough thin to 10cm apart. CARE - Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position in autumn. Keep moist. FLOWERS – June to September, the following year.
- TIP: Once established divide plants in autumn or spring.
