Winsor & Newton Winton is a traditional range of oil paints made from medium price range pigments. Tradition and expertise, combined with the techniques of modern colour chemistry, have resulted in a range of 47 carefully selected oil paints of excellent quality. As with artist oil paints, each individual colour is individually formulated to utilize the natural properties of each pigment and maintain a stable colour. The Winton range has a more uniform consistency than artist oil paints and is slightly stiffer. Brush and palette knife strokes are perfectly preserved
