Product description This PROFESSIONAL blade has been engineered from the very best Japanese carbon steel with an HRC * rating of 62. Ice tempered and chrome plated to help the blade stay sharper for longer. The Masterclip PRO 5 skip tooth dog clipper blade is ideal thin down the coat leaving approximately 6.4mm of hair on your dog. The staggered teeth have been created to help separate the fur and glide through dense or heavily textured coats, making it easier to tackle thick areas without pulling or snagging. This blade is brilliant for pre-clipping as the wider teeth help work through most types of coat more effectively than a fine tooth blade. Often referred to as rough cut, as used to thin down a coat before switching to the 5F finishing blade for a smooth finish. Perfect to blending or texturize a coat and leaves a soft and natural look. Skip tooth blades are generally only used by experienced dog groomers as they require careful handling to avoid accidentally nicking or cutting the skin. They are often paired with finishing blades to help smooth out the coat once the rough cut is complete. Before clipping, ensure your dog is thoroughly washed and dried. Brush out all tangles and mats to allow the clippers to glide effortlessly through the coat. Always hold the blade flat against the coat, following the natural contour of the dog and avoid holding the clippers at an angle whilst clipping.
