Once Wi-Fi configuration is complete via the gateway GW3000, real-time data can be viewed in the Ecowitt app. The station's unique design features a compact ultrasonic wind sensor and a vibration-triggered rain sensor.
- Haptic Rain Sensor: Compared with a traditional rain gauge sensor, the WS90 is equipped with a Haptic Rainfall Sensor at the top that accurately measures rainfall volume, featuring rain detection and rain stop interpretation functions. This special sensor is not affected by harsh weather conditions and is designed to keep working accurately in any context.
- Upgraded Weather Station Gateway GW3000: The Ecowitt GW3000 Wi-Fi gateway has built-in 3-in-1 sensors for temperature-humidity/atmospheric to measure the indoor data, and comes with an additional 0.9 m/2.95 ft. USB Power Extension Cord for the power supply. Designed with a WLAN port and an SD card port, it can be used directly over a network cable to avoid the pitfalls of unstable WiFi and can store data on an SD card for data transfer.
- Newest Gateway & Easy Wi-Fi Configuration: Come with the SD card port, and the GW3000 can configure Wi-Fi not only by web page or Ecowitt APP, but also by connecting it to the Internet via the ethernet cable ( The ethernet cable is separately purchased). - Pairing with Various Ecowitt Weather Sensors: GW3000 Wi-Fi hub/gateway can collect sensor data from various Ecowitt wireless sensors(sold separately), such as WS90/WS85/WS69/WS68/WS80 outdoor sensor, up to 8* WH31/WN30/WN34/WN36/WH55/WN35 multi-channel sensors, up to 16*WH51A/L/AC1100/WFC01 sensors, up to 1*WH45/WH57/WH40/WH32/WH46 sensor, 4*WH55 Water leak sensors.
- SD Card Management Page: The SD card file system format just supports the FAT32, if the card is larger than 32G, you can download the Rufus tool from https://rufus.ie/en/ to format the SD card into FAT32 format. The system provides real-time status monitoring of the SD card and supports inserting or pulling out the SD card without restarting the device. Users can perform download and delete operations on individual files, providing flexible file management capabilities.
- Attention: The WS90 outdoor weather station is subject to fluctuations due to its high sensitivity. Wind and light rain can cause data fluctuations, resulting in inaccurate readings. If you require highly accurate data, we recommend buying the WH40 and comparing it with the WS90 to obtain correction values. If you do not require precise rainfall data, then the WS90 is fine.
- The WS80/WS90's heater is suitable only for the ultrasonic reflection surface; it will not melt the snow built up on top of the device.
