The dosage quantity indicated refers to the amount of water newly added to the aquarium. When restarting with tap water or dosing in problem cases (e.g. too high nitrite value, heavy metals in the water, etc.) the dosage quantity is calculated based on the total amount of water contained in the aquarium.
