Shires Highlander Plus Lite Turnout Rug

• Premium protection with exceptional durability: The Highlander Plus Lite Turnout Rug is crafted from robust ShireTex 1200 denier ripstop fabric, offering an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Its ripstop weave helps prevent tears from spreading, making it a reliable choice for horses turned out regularly in changing weather conditions.
• Waterproof yet highly breathable design: Featuring a PFC-free waterproof outer with taped seams, the rug provides waterproof protection up to 3000mm while maintaining a breathability rating of 3000g/m². The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish encourages water to bead and run off the surface, helping to prevent saturation during mild wet weather.
• Designed for comfort and freedom of movement: A fully lined interior reduces friction against the coat, while deep shoulder gussets allow unrestricted movement when grazing, walking, or playing in the field. This thoughtful design helps maintain comfort throughout extended wear.
• Secure, adjustable fit for everyday use: The rug includes adjustable clip chest straps for quick and easy fastening, adjustable cross surcingles for a tailored fit, a removable fillet strap, integrated leg strap loops, and a large pleated tail flap. These features work together to keep the rug secure and well-positioned during turnout.
• Versatile and practical all year round: Reflective detailing improves visibility in low-light conditions, and the rug is machine washable for easy maintenance. It is also WarmaRug compatible, allowing owners to add optional 100g or 200g liners to increase warmth as temperatures drop, extending the rug's usability across multiple seasons.
