Crime Scene Photomacrographic Scales (Roll 5 cm/2 inch)

• The Photomacrographic Scale is a 1 inch x 500 inch roll of adhesive-backed tape with a repeating scale pattern. The 2 inch/5 cm pattern repeats with a gap for a total length of 500 inch. The scale is printed in black on white, making it easy to read and photograph. The adhesive backing allows the scale to be easily applied to any surface, making it ideal for close-up photography of evidence.
• Case information can be written directly on the scale with a ball-point or felt-tip pen.
• Because these scales will be used for evidence photography, our name does not appear on the front to distract from your photo.

These small scales are ideal for close-up photography. Printed on matte white, non-reflective rigid plastic. Our No. 2 scale is an ABFO-type scale used for bitemark measurement and photography. The incorporation of three circles is useful in helping to compensate for distortion resulting from oblique camera angles. Graduations are all metric except for the width of the legs, which are 25cm wide. The 1cm division lines are traced and extended across the photographic print to grid an image. Measurements within the image are then made relative to these inscribed 1cm grid lines to compensate for any distortion resulting from nonparallelism between the film and the object planes.
