Product description pH UP Raises pH without Promoting Algae. pH Up is designed to increase pH without promoting algae. A pH of ~8.3 is important for the functioning of all marine/reef aquariums, often this level is not achieved, causing stress to your aquarium’s inhabitants. Fish & other aerobic organisms respire producing carbon dioxide and absorbing oxygen. Dosing with pH Up will help to increase and stabilise pH within your aquarium. Although pH Up is an effective method of treating pH temporarily, we recommend getting to the source of your pH issues. Possible causes of low pH include too many fish, low amounts of fresh air being introduced to the aquarium, insufficient water flow and lack of alkalinity. Contents: – Deionised water – Buffer Salts Instructions: Shaking is not required however if product has been left standing for a length of time invert bottle 3-4 times before using. Add product to high water flow. Directions: Add product to high water flow. This product must be used in marine & reef aquariums but cannot be used on a dosing pump. Dosing: Add 6mL per 100L of aquarium water. Wait 1-3 hours for pH to stabilise, re-test and then (if required) add another dose based on the amount that pH increased from the initial 6mL/100L dose. All aquariums differ, individual results may vary. DO NOT go beyond a pH of 8.5 DO NOT raise pH more than 0.2 per day. pH Down pH Down is scientifically formulated to safely decrease pH. Without the regulation of pH, the pH of your aquarium is far more susceptible to fluctuation which may lead to decreased efficiency of biochemical processes essential to the livelihood of your aquarium inhabitants. pH Down does not contain a low range pH buffer or sodium therefore it will lower pH without lingering or raising sodium meaning it can also be used in planted aquariums. We recommend conducting research into the preferred pH range of your aquarium’s inhabitants and adjusting your dose to obtain your desired pH.
