Product description Feeds underground on roots and stem-bases from mid/late summer through winter, severely weakening or killing plants. Mainly a problem in container plants, but can cause serious damage to strawberries and some plants in borders. Larvae are ‘C’ shaped, cream coloured with a brown head. Vine Weevil - Late Spring & Early Autumn Control with parasitic nematodes (H.bacteriophora). These microscopic worms feed and multiply inside the vine weevil larvae causing death. Supplied as an easy-to-mix powder to be diluted with water before use. Apply to moist compost/soil using a watering can or sprayer (Aquanemix) Whilst an autumn treatment is the most effective, a follow up treatment can be applied in the spring. Use H.bacteriophora April and September or when the temperature is above 12°C. Directions Store the product in the fridge until needed. The nematodes should be applied late spring to early autumn, using H.bacteriophora between April and September or when the temperature is above 12°C. Mix the nematodes with water as per instructions and apply to moist compost/soil using a watering can or sprayer. While an autumn treatment is most effective, a follow-up treatment can be applied in the spring. Do not apply when the soil temperature is below 12°C or above 30°C.
