As with any image viewed on a screen the colours might slightly differ dependant on resolution and screen colour depth and should be taken as a guide. None of our Mica Powders have been tested on animals, and are vegan friendly. These mineral mica pearl pigments can be used to colour cold process soap, melt and pour soap, bath bombs, bath salts, body butters, wax melts, candles, cosmetic items including mineral makeup such as eye shadow, blusher and tinted lip balms. LiveMoor mica powders have not been chemically dyed, a process that is often used in cheaper and poor quality mica powders. Cold Process Soaps: Mix 1 teaspoon of mica with 1 tablespoon of a lightweight oil like sweet almond or avocado. Add 1 dispersed teaspoon at a time at trace until you get a colour you like. As a guide, we recommend about 1 dispersed teaspoon of Mica Powder per 450g of soap. Melt & Pour Soap Bases: Add the mica straight to the melted soap and stir well. If you see bubbles forming, spritz with alcohol and continue mixing. You can use up to ½ teaspoon per 500g of soap base. Mix 1 teaspoon of mica with 1 tablespoon of 99% Isopropyl alcohol. Add ¼ teaspoon of dispersed colour to the melted soap until you get the colour / shade you like. Candles / Melts: Start by adding 1g to 3g of mica to every 1kg wax until the desired shimmer and melt pool is achieved. You will need to experiment with different waxes and fragrances each time you use a different mica. As with all things hand-made, it would be advisable to test in small batches until you find the formula that works for you.
