In the 16th century, Raja Man Singh, the ruler of Ambar, settled the Kagzi in Sanganer on the banks of the Saraswati River where clear water was readily available. Thus, this city developed into one of the largest paper production centers in northern India. The size of this community has declined in recent years. There is a small area of 'Kagzi' in Sanganer near Jaipur, where part of this community had settled thousands of years ago. 2.
