Snowbee Prestige STX Stockingfoot Chest Waders. The award-winning Prestige ST range, have been completely re-designed for 2018. The new STX range incorporates all the best design features of the ST, but with many design improvements. Last year Snowbee decided it was time to completely redesign the top-selling Prestige range and keep Snowbee in their rightful position as No.1 in waders! The Prestige STX range does just that, with a range of waders to compete with very best on the market, irrespective of price! Material Snowbee have retained our popular Soft-Touch (ST) material so liked by anglers. What sets this apart from other breathable wader materials is the outer layer, which has a 'peach-skin' finish. Not only does this look and feel superb, but the finish makes it totally flexible, rustle-free and silent Snowbee have incorporated this into a new, unique 3-layer material, which takes breathable wader technology onto a completely new level. This top quality breathable material is a blend of 24% nylon, 59% polyester and 17% polyurethane to provide strength and durability. The outer material has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment, rated at L10/80 – meaning it retains 80% of its DWR performance, even after washing 10 times! For 2018 however, they have combined all our previous ‘Standard’, ‘FB’ and ‘Short’ size fittings into just one size chart for convenience. Over the years, Snowbee have learnt that the majority of breathable wader leaks are caused by puncture damage. Needle sharp gorse or thorns can cause pin-pricks in breathable material, invisible to the naked eye, but so frustrating when you enter the water. To help avoid this, our new 2018 models feature a second layer of material where you need it most – down the front of the legs, from above the knee to the sock or boot join and on the seat of the waders. This additional layer takes the overall thickness up to a class-leading 6-layers, but by utilising two separate layers, they still retain their high breathability – unlike 5-layer materials which have very limited breathability. In addition to the high-density sole panel, which prevents heel compression leaks, this cutting style tapers the ankles, to remove excess material, which can otherwise crease up inside your wading boots. The 3-panel design ensures all the seams run around and not under your foot, for a more moulded fit and added comfort. The integral gravel guards have front lacing hooks and rubberised elastication around the bottom, to prevent them riding up when walking.
