Step 2: Mount the adapter ring. Align the triangular mount index on the adapter ring with the square hole on the lens. Note: The red mount index on the adapter ring should be on the right of the “Canon 35” icon. Press and hold the one side of the adapter ring, while pressing the adapter ring completely onto the lens. Step 3: Mount the lens hood. Align the circle mount index on the lens hood with the same mark found on the adapter ring(red circle). Then rotate the hood clockwise to secure. REMOVAL METHOD: Press the release button on the lens hood while rotating hood counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the removal tool into the slot of the adapter ring. Hold the adapter ring while gently pressing the handle of the tool to remove the adapter ring.
