Hanging Flower Pouch Bags Tips for planting Fill the pouch with potting compost up to the first layer of slits making sure to press into the corners. Through the first slits place well-rooted plants. Add more compost up to the next layer of slits. Continue to fill the pouch with plants whilst pushing the compost down to keep the plants firmly in place. Leave 1" at the top to help with watering. Place a last plant at the top of the bag. Water well and lay on a flat surface for a few days to allow the plants to settle.
