Product description
The vases have a long and complex production. Starting with the forms hand carved by artist and former ballet dancer Anders Pfeffer Gjengedal in his workshop near Oslo, Norway. Cooee has developed the originals into hollow ceramic vases that allow them to be used with water and fresh flowers. The ceramic vase has a rough and sandy surface. The stoneware contains tiny grains that make each product unique. "The nature around us is constantly shaped by the elements. From the great changes caused by the ice ages to the daily effects of weather on a mountain birch and sand on a beach. Soft lines and organic shapes are created. Even a seemingly straight horizon has a slight curvature. In our homes, we are surrounded by straight lines and digital surfaces, so a soft shape on an object can be a welcoming and comfortable place to rest our eyes." - Anders Pfeffer Gjengedal
