Most other silk will not go through this treatment. The difference is only felt when you have the fabric in your hand. The edges are hand rolled by careful Chinese craftsmen. It takes half an hour to complete the rolling of 1 piece. The hand-rolled edges do not show threads of different colours. They are also easy to recognize by the fingers. The veil is originally 114 cm wide, but only approx. 110cm wide after 5cm rolled around the edges. Sieved for defects. Bad ones are sold at half price. Please avoid washing the veil. Silk is thin and fragile. If you need to, gently hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Allow to air dry. Steam iron. Some colours may run out when washed for the first time.
