About this item
  • BEGINNER FRIENDLY - Stuttgarter Giant onion sets are an easy to grow vegetable variety and perfect for beginners. This variety of yellow onion produces large onions and a fantastic crop. They are best planted now and are all UK winter hardy - planting time is from August to November, Autumn to Winter Cooler seasons.
  • EASY TO GROW - Onion sets are undemanding and require only occasional watering during particularly dry periods. However, rows should be weeded regularly. Grow them in raised garden planters, containers or allotments. You will receive a bag of approximately 500 grams due to onions sets being different sizes.
  • TASTE - Stuttgarter is a British gardeners favourite, it has a slightly sweet and mild flavour meaning it is perfect to cook with or add in salads.
  • HOW TO STORE - These onions will be ready for planting when you receive them, however if you are not garden ready yet, ensure you open the paper bag, store in a cool dark spot and keep away from any pests, it is essential they have airflow and avoid any moisture.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
