Our vegetable fruit cages are constructed from aluminium tubing, 16mm for the uprights (legs) and 13mm for the crossbars (width & length), connecting the poles together we use plastic joiners which fits inside the pole. The covers are not fitted, making them easy to lift for working the beds. We do not have large wingspans between legs, the maximum span between legs is 1.98m (6ft 4") ensuring the cages do not bow. All cages come with green bird netting Bird netting: mesh size 19mm x 19mm, which will stop the birds without harming them. It’s also quite heavy duty. Allows bees through for pollination. What comes with the cage? The cage comes complete with 13mm aluminium tubing for the crossbars, and 16mm aluminium tubing for the uprights. Contains green bird netting cover, plastic connectors, pipe clips, and steel pegs. Please note if heavy snow is forecast please remove the cover beforehand.
