With all the silks on the market today, the right profile is often a case where I start thinking when it comes to deciding the right taper, coatings, cores...;..etc for your floating silk. The Airflo Forge seeks to solve these problems and offers you high-flying silk that you can enjoy at a price level that won't break the bank. Profile: With a total head length of 40' (12m) and a working head length of between 33' and 42' (9m and 12m) this is an extremely versatile head that will work for all levels of casting ability. A relatively long 8' (2.4m) tip allows for easy rolling and precise poses, perfect for nymphs, dry and any important presentation. Color: The line has a nice warm olive head color that will help reduce any line flash in the air. A yellow sunrise running allows you to easily see the transition at the rear taper and help you evaluate the optimal amount of line to use for distance. Coating The surface of Forge silk is ultra-soft to the touch and maintains a dry lubrication system that not only improves molding performance, but also contributes to water repulsion - a key factor in improving buoyancy and facilitating detachment. Heart: The core is a multi braided filament, similar to those found in high-end PVC silks - if you are already used to throwing with a silk, it will have a similar impression to the lines you used previously.
