This cove vertical panel raiser has a 1-1/2" cutting height and a 1-1/8" large diameter. The shank is 1/2" in diameter. There's no need to buy a heavy-duty router to make your own doors. Because of their smaller diameter, vertical panel raising bits require less horsepower and can be run at higher speeds than their horizontal counterparts. A vertical bit takes a much smaller "bite" out of the stock so your router won't get bogged down in the middle of a cut. We offer vertical panel raising bits with 1/2" & 1/4” shanks. Choose the larger shank diameter if your router collet will accept it.
