A rubber membrane allows automatic opening of the pipe aerator in case of negative pressure (thus ventilation of the pipe) and automatic closing (due to the resulting pressure equalization in the pipe). This process is done automatically, e.g. when the toilet flush is pressed or the use of a sink. After the automatic closing of the pipe aerator, the tube is sealed odour-tight and is only automatically opened again when the pressure is negative (water drain). The pipe ventilation gives you more flexibility when installing your water pipe: a ventilated pipe requires only 0.5% instead of 1% gradient. With connection lines, only 3 deflections are usually allowed, while with a ventilated pipeline, the number of bends is not limited. An elaborate ventilation line can also be dispensed with. When choosing the installation location, please note that the aerator is mounted at least 10 cm for connection lines and at least 60 cm above the highest branch or pipeline for downpipes.
