With its incomparably silky look, our Anchor Pearl Thread is a mercerised, 2-thread, slightly twilled yarn that enhances and enhances embroidery. Due to the pearl rotation and the combination of thread thicknesses, it is often used for hardanger embroidery, as the thread lays nicely on the fabric surface, resulting in a beautiful, uniform embroidery. Anchor pearl thread is also used for cross stitch as well as for * embroidery and other counted embroidery techniques. Often it is also used for crocheting. Anchor pearl thread is made from 100% extra long Egyptian Giza cotton fibres. Anchor pearl yarn is tested for friction, sweat and water resistance. Plain yarns can be washed up to 95º, multi-coloured and ombre yarns up to 60º and metallic polyester yarns up to 30º. The yarns are dyed according to international standards in terms of washing fastness, light and friction resistance.
