About this item
- AUTHENTIC ITALIAN HERITAGE VARIETY: Grow the famous Tromba d’Albenga – prized in Italy for its long, curved fruits, firm yellow flesh and naturally sweet flavour. A traditional regional favourite known for reliability and exceptional taste.
- HIGH-YIELDING & EASY TO GROW: A vigorous, mid-early bush variety producing abundant long fruits ideal for grilling, roasting or adding to summer dishes. Strong plants with consistent performance throughout the season.
- SOWING INFORMATION: Sow indoors February–June or directly outdoors March–July. Plant seeds 2 cm deep in warm soil (around 15°C). Choose a sunny, sheltered site with well-draining soil for the best growth. SEEDS: 30 Approx.
- TRANSPLANT & GROWING: Transplant young plants from May to August, spacing 50 cm apart. Plants develop a trailing habit and benefit from space to spread. Mulching and regular watering support strong fruiting. Harvest from June to October. Fruits have firm, sweet yellow flesh with a smooth texture, perfect for grilling, sautéing, baking, and salads. Pick young for softer flesh or let them mature for fuller flavour.
- SEED QUALITY: Produced by a historic Italian seed house with over 240 years of excellence. Seeds are packed in protective, recyclable packets to preserve freshness and germination quality – bringing authentic Italian growing to your garden.
