A fast growing, small deciduous shrub with a spreading crown made up of light green; broad ovate leaves. Late spring – early summer, upright panicles of bell shaped flowers are produced. The yellowish-white flowers are of a vibrant orange and purple inside. Not only are the flowers attractive, they also known to have a strong fragrance attracting the bees. Can reach a height of 10m.
