Deep Purple Filament DPF is a low diameter monofilament that offers optimum casting ability and super suppleness that conforms to the contours of the lake bed, whilst excess line is clamped down by sight and touch thanks to a fluorocarbon coating. This extra coating not only helps concealment but also provides a smooth, friction free surface that sails through rod rings with ease, adding valuable extra yards on the cast in addition to an extra layer of resistance to the abrasive nature of lake beds. This strong list of attributes makes this line a worthy adopter; but this line has another trick up its sleeve. The purple appearance of the DPF is hard to miss in the flesh, but it's when it gets to the subsurface layers where the real science happens? Red line is said to disappear underwater because it is the first color to disappear in the light spectrum, but this is not a 100% factor. The truth is, the Red Line theory is a misinterpretation of true facts. Red objects are the first to be absorbed by the light spectrum underwater, but do not disappear - red objects turn black and extremely blinding. Naturally, water appears to have a dark blue tint because UV light is visible in the water column. The DPF line has a UV pigment that adapts to the natural light source underwater and becomes far less prominent, blending perfectly into the environment.
