A stunningly scented hardy Wisteria that has been trained as a patio standard to ensure every size garden can feature and appreciate this timeless specimen! Wisteria tree Standard produces classy drooping racemes in a beautiful lilac that elegantly hang from its twinning stems. Grow and enjoy this classic specimen inside a large patio container or boarder, as a focal point for your garden! Grow wisteria in a sunny or semi shaded site in moist, well-drained soil. Flower buds can be damaged by hard spring frosts so choose a sheltered site. Prior to planting, add plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the soil. Provide the twining stems with appropriate and sturdy support, such as strong trellis or wires attached to walls and pergolas. Feed and water regularly until fully established. In autumn or spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant. Prune wisteria in July and again in February. Position in sun or partial shade.
