The container theme had done it WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer in the 1960s, when it was just beginning to prosper in the North Sea ports. At that time, no one knew how rapidly the demand for the standardised logistics boxes should grow. Peltzer in any case was right with his assessment. Numerous semi-trailers appeared in a short time in 1:87 and the original model of the side forklift was also created in that time.
