White Hills

WHITE HILLS are from New York and play a kind of psychedelic/experimental rock between Hawkwind and Mudhoney. Their predecessor releases Heads on Fire and Dead EP have released them at London-based mini label Rocket Recordings in collaboration with Thrill Jockey, the new self-titled album release WHITE HILL directly on the Chicago cult label for the first time. Dave W. (guitar) and ego sensation (bass) have always ensured that the band continues to evolve. The new album they recorded in the summer of 09 along with drummer Kid Millions (Oneida) in Brooklyn. The songs and arrangements are not so rigid, the album looks much looser and more open overall. Dave W. is a serious guitar player and his main goal was to achieve as much emotional experience as possible for the listener with the help of certain intimacy, as well as with artistic hardness and brutality. For WHITE HILLS this album is a reboot, a kind of rebirth and these great songs reflect this completely.
