Weigela ‘Magic Carpet’ is a fantastic new variety with unique apricot orange foliage. This deciduous, low maintenance shrub has a dwarf and bushy habit, making it perfect for small gardens and container growing. In addition to its colourful leaves, plants become smothered with pink, bell shaped blooms in spring and early summer. ‘Magic Carpet’ looks particularly pretty when planted alongside with purple-leaved plants. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 46cm (18”). Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size.
