• This easy to care for, low maintenance shrub is a reliable performer; 1 x Weigela All Summer Red Slingco 1 3.6 Litre Pot.

Flourishing in the summer, the long flowering period of April to October makes this specimen invaluable to the garden. A striking flowering shrub ideal for smaller spaces and even compact enough for containers. The foliage is dark green, and contrasts beautifully with the profusion of flowers. Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant at the same depth as they were planted in its nursery pot. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil. In spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
