These reins are extremely distinctive, and match other Weaver products (10-0214 Browband Bridle, 10-0214 One Eared Bridle, 40-0801 Breast Collar, 30-1040 Spur Straps) that also have the nickel spots. The nickel starts 18" back from the bit end and continues for about a foot. The reins attach with Chicago Screws to the bit, and also have tapered ends. All edges are dyed dark
