We Begin

Since releasing his debut independent EP We Begin in 2009 to a packed house at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, Tim Williams has since been building a loyal and enthusiastic fan base by relentlessly touring. His tireless desire to reach as many people as possible keeps him on the live music circuit constantly - playing over 1,000 gigs in the Philly area since 2006 and counting. A mainstay at reknowned Philly venues World Café Live and Tin Angel, Tim has toured such major markets as NYC, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland & Atlantic City. Since the release of We Begin, he has shared the stage with Nationally Acclaimed Recording Artists Ryan Star, Diane Birch, Kevin Hearn (Barenaked Ladies) & Jeffrey Gaines, among many other locally respected singer/songwriters (please visit the LINKS page and show some love). Tim has received solid regional radio play thanks to 93.7 WSTW's Mark Rogers of Hometown Heroes & 93.3 WMMR's Jaxon's Local Shots the Podcast. Tim's music is regularly featured on the national radio program MyFixItUpLife.com and in 2009 he was cast in a Regional Tour of the rock musical RENT, adding to an extensive film/TV/theater resume that precedes his career in music. Though his eyes are constantly searching for the next city/venue/bar/living room to play in, Tim always makes it a point to be present and live in the moment. He delivers a genuine, high-energy performance with passionate, resonant vocals, lyrics that reflect a life of honest, universal experiences, and an infectious on-stage personality. Drawing from such influences as Butch Walker, Matt Nathanson, Colin Hay, Counting Crows, DMB, Edwin McCain, OAR, Pearl Jam, Mat Kearney, et. al... Tim s sound is refreshingly unique while still maintaining a pop/rock sensibility that has drawn comparisons to Goo Goo Dolls, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Matt Nathanson.
