Measure from the centre fixing point towards both sides and also consider the door handle, backplate and lock case when checking compatibility. Do not select a replacement cylinder based only on the overall thickness of the door. How Do I Install It? Open the door and remove the cylinder retaining screw from the edge of the door. Align the cam of the existing cylinder and slide it out. Insert the replacement cylinder in the correct orientation, with the thumbturn facing the inside of the room, then secure it with the appropriate fixing screw. A suitable screwdriver is normally required for installation and is not included unless specifically stated in the product information.
